The Davis High School Blue & White Foundation is seeking nominations of outstanding individuals, teams and groups to be considered for induction into the Davis High School Hall of Fame. The deadline is Friday, March 15.
Categories include alumni at large, alumni athletics, alumni fine arts, DHS faculty and staff and friends and benefactors of DHS. All eligible alumni nominees must have graduated at least 10 years prior to nomination.
Nominations may be made online at dhsblueandwhite.org, or forms may be picked up at the DHS office, 315 W. 14th St., or mailed upon request.
Alumni-at-large nominees must have demonstrated significant achievement in or contribution to society. All athletic and fine art nominees must have either demonstrated significant achievement while attending DHS or must have established themselves as an amateur or professional at a local, state or international level.
Faculty and staff members and friends and benefactors of DHS should — by personal endeavor, leadership and sacrifice over a period of years — have made an extraordinary contribution to the success of DHS.
Hall of Fame inductees aree Dave Scott, A.J. “Bud” Henle, Mark Inouye, Denise Curry, Elaine Kasimatis, John Barovetto, Tony Fields, Craig Wilson, JoAnne Moldenauer, Dick Lewis, Ron Brown, Richard Brunelle, Michael Franti, Carol Greider, Ralph Villanueva, Cathy Speck, Jim O’Keefe, Elinor Armer, Bruce Gallaudet, Jason Fisk, Bob Dunning, Floyd Fenocchio, Dewey Halden, Marc Hicks and Eric Hoeprich.
A selection committee will vote in the spring and the 2013 DHS Hall of Fame inductees will be announced at the DHS’ commencement ceremony in June.
